Terms of Use
1. Right of Withdrawal and Refund
1.1. A consumer – a natural person not engaged in commercial or professional activity – has the right to withdraw from the purchase and return the item within 14 calendar days without stating a reason, according to Paragraph 19 of Cabinet Regulation No. 255 of the Republic of Latvia "Regulations on Distance Contracts".
1.2. To exercise the right of withdrawal, notify https://sportgoods.lv electronically by completing the withdrawal form (in the “Returns” section) or by writing to [email protected]. The product must be returned within 7 days after sending the withdrawal form.
1.3. Sending the withdrawal form within the deadline releases the consumer from any contractual obligations related to the distance contract.
1.4. Once the item is returned, the seller evaluates its condition and sends a refund confirmation by email.
1.5. Upon consumer confirmation, the seller is obliged to refund the amount paid for the product.
1.6. The right of withdrawal does not apply if:
• the product packaging is irreversibly damaged;
• the product was used and shows signs of use.
2. Prices
2.1. All prices on www.sportgoods.lv are shown in EUR and include 21% VAT. Prices are valid at the time of order placement. By confirming the order, the buyer agrees to the current price.
2.2. The seller reserves the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. The price valid at the time of order placement as published on the website applies.
3. Product Range
3.1. The buyer may purchase products that are listed on www.sportgoods.lv and are available in stock.
3.2. If the ordered product is no longer available, sportgoods.lv will contact the buyer and offer a similar product. The seller is not liable for any losses resulting from unavailable products.
3.3. The seller may change the product range and descriptions without notice. Product descriptions and images are based on manufacturer-provided information.
4. Receiving Goods
4.1. Delivery is carried out according to the price indicated in the order.
4.2. Before receiving the goods, the buyer must present a valid ID – passport or ID card. The product is only handed over to the buyer who placed the order. If the buyer refuses to show ID, the product will not be delivered.
4.3. Upon receipt, the buyer must visually inspect the goods in the presence of the seller or courier for any packaging or visual defects. Damage discovered later is not covered by the warranty.
4.4. The order is considered fulfilled once the buyer signs the delivery note.
5. Product Use
5.1. The buyer must read the product manual carefully before use and use the product according to the manufacturer’s instructions and its intended purpose.
5.2. Claims about product compliance with the contract are resolved according to the Consumer Rights Protection Law.
5.3. Sportgoods.lv is not responsible for defects caused by improper use, transport, or storage, or for normal wear and tear.
6. Obligations and Terms of the Parties
6.1. A buyer (natural person) has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of delivery. The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging. The buyer covers all return costs.
6.2. Legal entities are not considered consumers and are not entitled to the right of withdrawal.
6.3. The buyer agrees to the processing of personal data for order processing and fulfillment, including transmission to third parties for delivery, payment processing, etc.
6.4. The website uses cookies. By using the site, the buyer agrees to the use of cookies for performance/analytics purposes.
6.5. The buyer assumes all risks and responsibilities related to purchases on www.sportgoods.lv, including acceptance of goods. The risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer upon receipt, unless otherwise provided by law.
6.6. The seller is not liable for delays or failure to fulfill orders due to circumstances beyond the seller’s reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, government actions, war, national emergencies, environmental/climate anomalies, internet disruptions, or hardware/software failures.
6.7. By visiting www.sportgoods.lv, registering, and/or placing orders, the buyer agrees to these Terms.
6.8. The seller assumes no responsibility if the buyer has not read or has only partially read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
